Sep. 25th, 2002 02:45 pmAnother thing I forgot to mention in my previous post...
I didn't like the part where Lex comes to the Kent farm, finds Clark looking for his dad, and immediately starts in telling Clark what happened to *his* dad. Lex barely even pauses to find out whether Clark is okay before he starts unloading. It seemed, I don't know, needy and vulnerable and un-Lexy. Also inconsiderate, and maybe it pushed some of my buttons, because I have issues with "friends" who just dump their shit on you without bothering to find out whether you're in the right frame of mind togive a shit about their problems comfort them. Lex *knows* that Clark's dad is missing and that Clark must be going nuts about it, but he barely even acknowledges that. That irked me.
Of course, I realize it was kind of necessary for the plot, all that exposition, setting up Clark's little tantrum in the woods later, with the "That's the second time you've hesitated today," which was a GREAT line and a fantastic moment of snark from Clark (snarkyClark! it rhymes!), but still, they could have set it up a little more gently, is all. I'm just sayin'.
