mamajoanI'm sleepy (I blame the overly greasy pizza that we had for lunch), and menstrual cramps always make me lethargic. Also, allergies: much sniffling and itching. Urgh. Soooooo glad it's Friday.
Mom just emailed that she can get two free tickets to the WGBH Ice Cream Fun Fest tomorrow. Yay! It's a benefit to collect food for poor families, and there's lots of free ice cream, and events for kids, and stuff. Way fun. I probably shouldn't, because they say a lot of sugar can make cramps worse, but screw it. It's ice cream!!
I also have Showtime and HBO this weekend, because Siubhan and Andy (friends who live in another apartment in my building) are away and I'm feeding their kitties. I should find out whether there's anything good on. And don't tell me to watch "The Sopranos" or "Six Feet Under," because I don't want to get hooked on another show that's on a channel I don't get! I'm already way behind on borrowing QAF tapes!
I was surprised to discover that I didn't have a recording of Bach's double keyboard concerti, especially my favorite, BWV1060 (which was on the radio the other day, hence this discovery). So I bought one on eBay. I love eBay. It's so dangerous. ;) I also bought a recording of Bizet's "L'Arlesienne," which I'm always hearing on the radio and loving and then forgetting what it's called. So now I'll have it. Yay. I also gotta get a recording of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, preferably the Glenn Gould (the original recording from the 1950s). It's expensive, though. Sigh.
(It used to be that the Bach was what I thought of when I saw the initials WTC. I still have some cognitive dissonance with that.)
