Just pack it whether she agrees she'll eat it or not.

gljiva has many days where she eats very little of her lunch, and survives - she used to have days where she only ate the fruit, and then we eliminated the fruit most days in the hopes that being hungry would get her to eat something else. But somehow it is less freaky looking to have choices besides the banana go uneaten than to pack just the banana, and who knows - she might eat the other stuff in the end.

Yeah, well, NOW i see the wisdom of that way. But after Monday when they called me to complain that she threw a huge screaming fit because she didn't like the food I had packed her -- Tuesday morning came and it seemed like a good idea to talk about it and pack only the food she said she wanted. Especially since she hasn't been eating much lately anyway and I thought a banana would be a pretty big lunch for her these past few days. Well, I've certainly seen the error of my ways after being lectured at great length by two of the daycare staff. :P
