A weekend

Phew, we had a busy weekend. On Saturday we hit the farmers market, the pool, the park for some frisbee-ing where Isaac managed to get our friend's new frisbee/boomerang thingie stuck in a tree, then an evening festival with fire-juggling, then a long walk back to the friends' where we had left our car, and we ended up watching Monty Python sketches until way too late. Today we slept in ;) and then went shopping for a new boomerang, ate brunch, got birthday gifts for a couple of friends, hit two different grocery stores, finally home and Ruthie wanted to go for a bike ride but her bike has two flat tires so she did some scootering instead. Then we experimented with making smoothies in the blender and did a milk taste-test with soy milk, almond milk, rice milk, and cow milk. Soy and cow were the winners with the kids.

Oh and did I mention that I did all of this with a bad back! It has really been bothering me a lot for the past week, and the chiropractor was on vacation. These last couple of days have been really bad. I had to stock up on tylenol and ibuprofen. I hate it when I can't find a single position to sit, stand, or lie in that doesn't hurt. Hope to be able to get an appt tomorrow.
