Ruthie's adjustment to her new preschool is going very well. She's making friends, making trouble ;) and having a good time overall. Plus, she's wearing underpants and not having accidents (*knock wood*). Yay!
Ruthie continues to have tummy problems, alas. They have kept us up several nights in a row, so we're both tired and cranky. I've decided that milk is to blame (well, milk and the antibiotics she took last week) so starting tonight I'm going to try to get her to not drink milk for a couple days and see if that helps. It's not going to be easy, because she LOVES milk. I predict lots of whining and crying. *Sigh*
Today is the last day of YMCA camp for Isaac. He just went for this one week, because his other camp ended last week. The Y camp hasn't been anything too exciting, but whatever, they keep him entertained. Now I have to figure out what to do with him on Monday and Tuesday next week, before school starts on Wednesday. And then what to do on Friday and the following Monday...oy!
Our washing machine is on the fritz again. Brian says he'll fix it but it might take a few days. Yesterday I went to mom's house to do a couple loads, and felt like a college kid again, except older and tireder and infinitely less cool. ;)
I freecycled some kid stuff yesterday, including some baby/toddler toys that the kids never really got into. Also including two pairs of shoes that Ruthie loved, but that are too small for her now. I was hoping the person would come to pick them up when Ruthie wasn't home, but no such luck -- I had the shoes in a plastic bag, so the kids didn't actually see them, but they asked me about them, so I said it was "some shoes that I never wore." Well, it was true.... *facepalm* Anyway, stuff going OUT of the house is always a good thing. ;)
Did I mention that I gave Isaac and myself haircuts last week? We were getting very shaggy. And on Thursday evening I said something like "are you ready to cut your hair?" and Isaac said "can we leave a strip down the middle?" and I said "you mean like a mohawk?" and his eyes lit up. :) So I gave him a mohawk. I'll try to get some pictures. I didn't do the best job, i.e. it's not perfectly centered (LOL!) but he's happy with it so whatever. ;)
