making it so
Feb. 6th, 2008 04:46 pmThings are marginally better today, but still not great. I am stoking up on caffeine to get me through the evening. (unfortunately the only form of caffeine left here at the office today is tea, Earl Grey, hot. I hate Earl Grey. woe.) Attempts at night-weaning are officially on hold for the foreseeable future.
Latest cutenesses:
Yesterday Isaac was playing on my bed and announced, "mama, I'm sitting on your vagina!" He meant pajamas (my nightgown to be specific). Longtime readers may recall that this is not the first time Isaac got the words vagina and pajamas mixed up. LOL!!
Isaac is very much into Crazy Eights these days too. He got a pack of Crazy Eights cards from Meta and SK, and we have been playing it almost every day. He loves it! We shall have to tackle Uno next. Also I'm thinking Candyland or similar board game.
Ruthie has been enjoying playing with my hair lately. Sometimes she has a little trouble with the distinction between "play with" and "pull," but mostly it's okay. ;) She also likes to stand on the changing table and wrap her arms around my neck and yell "Big Hug!" which of course is adorable even though I know it's a stalling technique. ;) When we have all gotten strapped into our respective car seats and start off, she likes to announce, "Da Ahgoo, da Oothie, da mama in da car." Basically she is the cutest kid ever. Which is lucky for her considering how much trouble she has been at night lately! But I'm not posting about that now, ahem.
In other news, I voted for Obama, so I'm not surprised to learn that Clinton won Massachusetts. I did see however that Obama beat her in my particular town, which was interesting. I'm torn between hoping that Romney will drop out (because I srsly can't stand that guy) and worrying that neither HRC nor Obama would be able to beat McCain. OTOH, much as I dislike McCain on a number of issues, he'd be a HUGE step up from what we've got now...not that I want to take a defeatist attitude or anything, but well, you know.
I'm all excited about a recipe that I saw on 100cookbooks.com, but I don't have all the ingredients to make it :( Maybe this weekend. I'm also SUPER excited to meet
hopemcg and
meglett and Quinn this weekend! woohoo!
oops, gotta run, more later
