umm, nothing really
Aug. 17th, 2005 03:48 pm"umm, nothing really" is what I have to say right now, heh. Just now I was in the kitchen getting water and a coworker said in friendly fashion, "so how is your day going?" and I just gave a blank stare. Day? Am I having a day? I guess I must be. Whatever.
The coworker who's leaving us brought one of his air conditioners to the office today and we moved it from his car to mine at lunch. Damn, that thing is heavy. I may have to enlist help to get it into my apartment. And then I have to figure out where and how to install it. Whee!
I have a very mild cold, with one of those cough/throat things where all of a sudden you open your mouth to say something, and nothing comes out. So you cough, and a bunch of phlegm has a party in your mouth, and then you can talk again, at least for a few minutes. Oh yeah, it's a barrel of laughs around here.
Isaac woke up at 6am again yesterday morning and this morning. *sigh* I'm coming slowly to the realization that there probably isn't going to be anything I can do about this. I guess I'm going to be going to bed at 9pm for the foreseeable future if I want to get any useful sleep in. I am not happy about this. I know I should be grateful that he sleeps through the night (and is fairly easy to get down) unlike many, many toddlers I know. But it's just hard to be grateful when you're so darn tired AND you have to deal with a toddler who is also cranky because HE'S tired, who doesn't care that his being tired AND your being tired are all his fault!
sigh.
In cheerier news, I found some chocolate ice cream in the employee fridge and our receptionist said it was for communal use. yay for chocolate ice cream....
