survived...
Feb. 5th, 2005 07:56 pmWell, it was another in a string of "interesting" Saturdays. I was so frelling tired this morning, I didn't think I'd survive. I sat around counting the minutes till it would be late enough in the morning to call my mom and beg her to rescue me. ;) But then at 10:15 Isaac wanted to nurse, and he fell asleep around 10:30. Thank goodness. So I put him down and he napped for an hour. I lay down during that time too, but I had had my caffeine too recently so I didn't fall asleep until the last 15-20 minutes or so. Groan!
Then he got up and I tried to feed him without much luck. I don't know if he's been feeling poorly lately, or if it's just a toddler thing, or what, but he's been getting harder and harder to feed. He acts like he wants something, then I give it to him and he takes two bites and rejects it. Frustrating.
Anyway, it was gorgeous out -- like a whole 40 degrees F, and sunny -- so we went for a walk. That was fun. I taught Isaac how to make snowballs and toss them and stomp on them. He also enjoyed stomping in puddles, which there were a lot of since there's still so much snow around and it was all melting. I thought we'd take a bus to nowhere and back, since he loves buses, but we waited a while and it didn't come, so instead we went into Dunkin' Donuts and had a donut and then went home.
Then he was cranky and hungry and I was exhausted again, so we went to grandma's and hung out with her and had dinner (moderately successful -- Isaac ate a little bit of everything at least) and then came home. And now I'm giving him his last few minutes to run around before I capture him and put him to bed. Wish me luck.
