It's a cruel truth of my life, that when I get marginally more sleep than usual on a particular night, I'm considerably more tired than usual the next day. It might seem counterintuitive but it's true. sigh. Not that last night was a wonderful night, but it was a bit better than many of them have been recently ... and yet here I am at work and a coworker was walking by my office and paused to say, "You look like you're about to fall asleep on your desk." Yeah, thanks for those words of encouragement, geez. I usually limit myself to one cup of caffeine per day, but I may need a second one if I'm going to make it through tonight's chorus rehearsal. *sigh*

The weekend was decent overall though. On Saturday we had a chorus rehearsal and it actually went quite well. Sunday my mom took Isaac for a while and I got a shower and a too-short nap and did a little (teeny, tiny, minuscule) bit of housework. Then we hung out a bit with [livejournal.com profile] anotherjen who was kind enough to make us dinner, plus gave us a couple more big boxes of toys and clothes for Isaac. At what point do I just roll over and accept my utter inability to ever compensate her for all the great stuff she has given us?

And speaking of giving us stuff, I'll bow to peer pressure and do the gift meme thingie.

Also, any time this headache wants to go away would be fine with me. I thought it might be hunger but I ate lunch and it's still here. Tylenol isn't doing anything for it either. grump.
