yay, laundry
Nov. 6th, 2004 09:51 amJust now the dog next door start some serious barking, and then I heard bangings and such underneath me, so I went to investigate, and just as I had suspected/hoped, it was my co-homeowner Brian, having a new washer and dryer delivered. YAY! Laundry!
There was a w/d that came with the house, and the washer worked okay (still does, afaik), but the dryer died about two weeks after we moved in. Brian is handy, but he's also very busy, so it took him many weeks of occasional tinkering to finally admit that he couldn't fix the dryer. And then many more weeks of us dithering over what to do. But finally we got sick of hauling our laundry to our respective moms' houses, so Brian decided to bite the bullet and order a new dryer. And I guess he decided he might as well get a new washer while he was at it too. He's down there right now trying to hook them up. I hope he can figure it out and we'll have laundry capabilities in-house by the end of the day. Sweet!
