I'm not nervous. Really. Not at all. Nope, not me.

I'm going to the Red Sox game tonight and leaving Isaac with one of the girls from his daycare. She's going to pick him up when the daycare closes (5:30-6:00ish) and take him to her house and watch him there until I can come get him.

It's just a little weird, because I dropped him off at daycare this morning and am going to pick him up somewhere else. I've never actually been there before, nor has he. And I won't have seen him since this morning. I don't know, it just feels strange. But I'm not nervous or anything. ;) I left her my cellphone number, of course, and a note with some instructions and so forth. And she works at the daycare, so obviously she knows how to take care of a kid, and she knows Isaac. She's only 17, but I'm sure she's responsible, and her parents will be there too.

I'm not actually worried about her, or about anything going horribly wrong. I'm mostly just worried that he'll have a hard time with the deviation from his routine, and new people and a new environment, and not seeing me for so long. And it's a long way away; even if something does go wrong and she has to call me to come get him, it'll take at least an hour from the time she calls till I'm able to get there. So that's a bit worrisome, but I'm taking deep breaths. ;)

I'm sure it will be fine, really. I just hope I'll be able to relax and enjoy the game. whew.
