worldcon mini-update
Sep. 5th, 2004 09:04 amThe first day (Thurs) didn't go so well but after that it got a lot better and much fun has been had.
L&A leave this morning (snif!!) and both my babysitters are unavailable so I'm not sure what I'm going to do, on my own with baby. I'm definitely going to take Isaac down to the con and go to at least one panel with him and see how it goes. retch and girgirl a call and see whether they can tolerate a bit of Worldcon-going with baby. Conning is just not as much fun without other people.
Missed most of the Hugos due to technical difficulties but I stayed up till 2am finishing Paladin of Souls and awoke to learn that it won Best Novel, so there's some kind of karma in there somewhere! :)
Bought a few books, got a few free books, and bought a t-shirt reading "You don't have to stare at my chest. These aren't the breasts you're looking for. Move along."
