Well, Sunday was moderately better than Saturday. I felt slightly better, although my back was killing me (the cosleeping has really been doing a number on it lately). In the afternoon
anotherjen came over to help my mom clean up her place. That kicked up a lot of dust that made my sore throat worse, alas. In the evening mom and I went to another Chinese restaurant in the continuing quest for somewhere to hold grandma's party (see previous post about same from last week). This place had MUCH better food than last week's, and passed many of the Chinese-menu criteria that I posted last week, but the decor was too plain and mom didn't feel it was a nice enough atmosphere/environment for such a special party.
And then came this morning...
On work days, my alarm goes off at 7:00 and I get up around 7:30 after several hittings of snooze. Sometimes the alarm wakes Isaac up; other times he continues to sleep even after I get up. Sometimes he wakes before the alarm but I can usually get him back to sleep by nursing and "playing dead" -- really playing asleep -- i.e., keeping my eyes closed.
But THIS morning, something woke us both up at 5:20am, and instead of just going "oh, a noise" and going back to sleep like usual, Isaac suddenly decided it was time to be Up!!! He started in with the looking around, the kicking of feet, the "dadada" and "nanana." Needless to say I was not down with the idea of being up at 5:30am. I tried playing dead -- no dice. I tried nursing him -- no dice.
Finally I got up and took a blanket and went and curled up on the couch. He continued "nanana"ing quietly to himself. I fell asleep and when I woke up again it was almost 7 and he was chatting -- still, or again, who knows? Anyway, I coughed, and he started to fuss, so I went in and got back in bed with him and nursed him for a while and then got us up.
So, that was pretty weird. I sure hope this isn't going to become a new trend, cuz that sofa just isn't comfy. :P
Is it a bad sign when my lj-mood is "exhausted" and it's only 10:30am? sigh.
