Friday Five
Jan. 30th, 2004 03:51 pmSuper-busy, but what the hey. Haven't done this in a while and it's one of my favorite topics.... (as always, from http://www.fridayfive.org)
You have just won one million dollars:
1. Who do you call first?
My mom, to squee! And then my mom's friend Simon, the CPA, to ask him to be my personal accountant, to keep me from doing anything overly foolish. ;)
2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself?
After paying off all my debts? A new car. Or, hmm, maybe first some chocolate. ;)
3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else?
After paying off all my mom's debts? ;) I dunno, a new car for mom maybe. If she wants one.
4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom?
Almost certainly. To the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, the HRC -- you know, the usual suspects. And probably to the ASPCA and some no-kill animal shelters. And to my more impoverished friends, like
xochiquetzl and
anotherjen.
5. Do you invest any? If so, how?
Definitely. I put a lot of it away for Isaac's college tuition and future expenses. And then I buy a lot of stock in environmentally-responsible companies.
