what the..?

I'm so not involved in fandom any more, it's kind of funny that a coworker (who was a coworker for 4 years at my old company and has just joined my new company -- everything old is new again) still considers me his source for fannish info. And I guess it's kind of sad that I was actually able to answer most of his questions, except for "when does the new season of Angel start?"

It's also funnysad that I keep having fannish dreams. And what REALLY annoys me is when they're about a fandom that I don't even like! I had a lengthy and plot-heavy Harry Potter dream last night! I ask you. :P

I'm not sure why, but there was a guy hanging around the Worldcon dealers' room dressed as Lorne from "Angel." Here he is having his makeup touched-up by some chick. And here he is being filmed by a TV crew while his makeup is being touched up.

The TV crew, btw, was from TV Ontario and they were doing a piece on sci-fi fandom. They interviewed a bunch of random people who were walking by, including me! They asked me why I like science fiction, why I go to cons, and whether I think sci-fi fans are different from fans of other literary genres. I believe I replied to the latter that sci-fi fen are smarter. ;)

Finally, I couldn't resist taking a picture of this door. When you see it, you'll understand why. At least, if you share my sense of humor you will. ;)
