random stuff
Mar. 8th, 2002 03:45 pmI've decided that my last story sucked. Oh well, it's on my website and posted on one list and so far no one seems to have read it, so whatever.
We leave for tour tomorrow. Ack!! Me, going to Burlington VT and Montreal with a hundred teenagers, what was I thinking? :) Actually I'm sure the teenager part of it will be okay. I'm more worried about the actual music. I looked at the "Magnificat" score and realized there were whole chunks that I didn't know and that, contrary to presumption, weren't exactly like whole chunks that I *did* know. Eek. I guess I'll be doing a lot of faking. And hopefully maybe get a chance to listen to it a bit, like on the bus maybe. Debating whether to take both my walkman AND my discman.
Lots to do before we leave. I haven't even had a chance to *start* the transcript of this week's Buffy episode, so everyone out there will have to wait till I get back for both it and next week's. Deal. I haven't even started packing, for goodness sake. I did manage a bit of cleaning of the apartment, which wasn't strictly necessary for the trip, but I thought it would be nice for Siubhan to be able to walk through the place to feed Bini without fear of tripping on something and falling on her ass. ;)
I also have to watch (or copy to tape, or just delete) everything the TiVo has recorded for me lately, so it'll have a nice clean hard drive for everything I want it to record while I'm gone. ... I finished reading Connie Willis's Doomsday Book last night, which is sad, because now I have no more Connie Willis to read on the trip. I do have quite a few more books in my to-be-read-next pile, though. And a bunch of crosswords, which I like to do on buses and planes and the like.
Two days after we get back -- Saturday 3/16 -- is my birthday. Haven't decided what to do yet. I have a few options on the table.
The PMS is coming along nicely, thanks for asking. ;) TGIF!
