Jan. 17th, 2002 04:23 pmMy TiVo finally arrived! Yay! Now I just have to decide whether to blow off going to my mom's place tonight as planned, or just try to cut my visit short. Either way I suspect I won't be getting a whole lot of sleep tonight. :)
I was reading through my web logs -- not blogger, but the log files that show who has been surfing my website. I look at them periodically just for fun. Did you know that a webmaster/mistress can log not only your originating IP address and the page you came from, but even what query you typed into a search engine to find the page? It's true. If you search google for, say, "joan the english chick" and Google gives you a link to my website and you click that link, my web-logs show that you came from Google and also what your search term was! This can be very entertaining given the amount of X-rated fanfic I have on my site, especially my badfic site. Some people are entering VERY naughty terms in their search engines!
Ever since I found out that I could see what search terms people use, I'm paranoid now whenever I use google! :)
Anyway, it's also fun to look at my web logs to find out what other pages out there are linking to me. I enjoy that. I like to see the wide diversity of stuff that I have on my site, reflected in the wide diversity of other sites linking to me.
In other news, it's two days till my cookie party. I need to go shopping, buy ingredients, and go over tomorrow night to my mom's place to mix up all the dough. Technically it's okay if it just refrigerates an hour or two, so I could do it Saturday morning, but it's better if it refrigerates overnight. I have a whole bunch of friends coming for the party, and I have a few new cookie cutters, so it should be fun! Some day I want to get a bunch of X-rated cookie cutters. I'm sure there must be somewhere you can get those. R'Hul made penis-shaped cupcakes for SithCon, and if there are penis-shaped cupcake molds, there MUST be penis-shaped cookie cutters, don't you think?
